    Basic camera for a child

I'm looking at getting a camera for Yasin.
He had one of the Little Tykes one but it chewed batteries and took crap photos.
I want something cheap and tough and simple - it doesn't have to take great photos.
    Any suggestions?

I'd suggest a Kodak Easyshare without a zoom. You can pick them up for under $100 sometimes. I got one for my daughter 3 years ago, it's been the best camera. Last Christmas she got a Samsung and it hasn't lasted the year out. The Kodak is still going. I swear it's indestructible.

    Hers takes fantastic photos too.

Yep, my daughter has our old Kodak Easyshare...it's 3.1mp and when we upgraded I saw no point in selling it - I have seen them go as cheap as $20 on eBay cause they're so outdated now. Still a great camera, but if you manage to pick one up that cheap, it doesn't matter so much if it does, per chance, get trashed

It's a bit more expensive, about $180 for an older model, but i have the olympus that the dog eats in the ad. Waterproof, shockproof, kid proof! That would be my recommendation.

We had a Fisher Price Kids Tough camera for Zander & had the same problem, fuzzy photos Our camera stopped focussing as well as it should so he got that one, it's a Canon Power Shot A470. It's around $100 and is pretty tough considering both kids have dropped it lots of times
