You can make a filter for your lens Maz by getting some thick card, cutting a small hole in the centre and attaching it to the front of your lens with a rubber band. Experiment with different shaped holes too like stars!
is that it really!!!!
Ive seen what looks like normal pics with shaped almost rain drop stars, arrows and hearts in the background of the pic...I know its all to do with the focussing but how do they do that???
Yup it's good fun too. I'm on my iPhone atm so can't paste any links but if you google bokeh there will be a few sites in wikihow come up with some good tips.
But basically set your aperture wide and focus on one spot then shoot! The rest will be blurry with the pretty bokeh.
You mean bokeh??
Where the background is blurry??
You need a shallow depth of field which you get by setting your camera on the biggest aperture setting you can (i.e. smallest number, like 1.8).
Works best at night with lights in the background and something to focus on in the foreground. It sounds easy, but it can be quite dfficult to get is all working for you and the lens cover can interfere with your focus... Next time we meet I will bring a couple of filters and you bring your camera
