My brother has recently realised he has a bit of a passion for photography. He's been taking photos for all his past hobbies (graphic design, stop-motion animation, and the like) and only noticed during a school project that he's actually pretty good at it.
His birthday is in a few weeks, and I'm contemplating paying for a weekend photography class as a present. I'll have to look more into it, though, because he doesn't have a great camera (he was borrowing one for the school project but had to give it back) and I'm not sure he can do the class with the one he's got. Not to mention, there might be an age restriction on the class and he's going to be 17.
Aaanyway, my other idea if that fell through was to cobble together a book with some tips to help him on his way to a possible career in photography. I pretty much know nothing other than "get subject in frame, press button to take photo" so I need a bit of help...
TIA
