    White backdrop for photography?

We are wanting to do some photography from our home. We've got the SLR camera we just need a white background for our photos..... what fabric do we use? Is it Vinyl?

Any advice would be great! Thanks!

we had family pics done recently and the photographer just had a large white sheet/piece of material. it wasn't any heavier than a decent bed sheet. i would probably be reluctant to use vinyl as you may end up with glare reflection in your photos if you use a flash

Last time we were looking for a backdrop the curtains were so expensive we just bought sheets, and they work well. Just make sure you hang them for a bit before you take the pics so the creases fall out

You can also use white polar fleece. I know many that use it as a black backdrop

Vinyl would be pretty expensive. As long as it's not in direct sunlight or you don't use flash then you won't get reflections or glare I wouldn't think. White polar fleece would work well because it won't show creases as easily. The curtain backing seems like a good idea too.

    Good luck!
