Well it's been a long time without anything scary happening, and I guess it was unfortunately envitable that we didn't through winter without a hospital visit..which happened yesterday
Poor little mite has something, still not sure what it is but has high temps and high breathing rate (60 breaths pr minute) double his usual 30..he had been building up to that rate from Sunday.
I tried to contact his specialist on the phone, also failed to talk to his paed so they suggested bring him into emergency..his temp was 39.5 when we got there and breathing rate high..
We had the obligatory tests (chest xray, mucus vacuum) and nothing showing pneumonia, but they suggested that he stay overnight him having his condition..
we both had the worst night sleep, he either fed compulsively or screamed and had high fevers..as morning came he perked a little and the paed said it would probably take 12-24 hors for him to see it's worst if it was going to, and since we have the oxygen and panadol at home which is all they were doing for him i decided to take him home and will take him back if his breathing gets worse or any other symptoms develop...
The peadiatric consulant(his usual one is away) I talked to today asked me if he'd ever seen a immunologist specialist ,in part of the investigations, and I explained because things were going well until now the respiratory team have just been looking after him, and if there were other symptoms they would pursue other testing..
It's kind of my worst fear that there is reason to do more testing and see an immuniologist as that would mean a whole lot scarier position he would be in healthwise..autoimmune conditions attacke not just one organ like the lungs but usually several..anyhow I am not going to worry because we are not at the road.
He is currently sleeping, and temp is down again after a dose of panadol. he has been vomiting abit too, not sure whether it's due to the temps or him having being crying so mch the last 24 hours..I am trying to get myself to have a sleep too as if he does get worse I won't get much sleep tonight again..
Please cross your fingers everyone that we've seen the worst I am not keen on seeing him like he was last night again
