Crap news for us, Bailey has to wear a dennis brown brace 24 hours a day for the next 6 months. Xrays today were no better
sooooo, soooooooooooooooo angry at the world right now. He is fitted with it on monday, they wanted to do it this arvo but my boy was tired, grumpy and hungry after seeing the ortho and its 43 degrees here today
So he can have as many baths as he wants in the coming days and roll around naked as much as he likes, might as well make the most of it

So sorry to hear your new Naomi. I know you must be feeling so disappointed at the moment. Just remember that the time will go quickly and before you know it Bailey will be on his way. If it's any comfort, my daughter wore a dennis brown brace for several months full time before requiring it only at night for almost 18 months and it is quite comfortable and easy to dress and change them in. Scarlett ended up being able to roll over in it and even tried to walk in her brace. You might find that after some treatment, you may be able to take it off for baths or swimming. Good luck on Monday.

Mummy Naomi,
Sorry to hear your news. Hope that Monday (and the following couple of days) goes as well as it can for you. I know it is cold comfort but this time in a brace does go quickly. Let us know how you are going.

Naomi - i am sorry to hear about Bailey having to go into the brace. i know that angry feeling you are feeeling oh to well.... i was really upset the first day that Lahni went into her brace but when she woke for an early morning feed the following day it didnt seem to worry her so i thought if she is ok with this then why cant i be... then also got it through my head that i would rather go through this now when she wont remember it than having her in it when she is older. you will get used to it. will be thinking bout you n bailey on monday!!
Bertie - thats fantastic news bout olivia!!!
as for Lahni, she has now been in the brace for 7 weeks now, and on monday morning at 9am we are going for her first ultrasound. then at 4.30 we see her peads. im gunna ask the person that does the u/s to give me as much info as he/she can.. dont think i could wait the full 7 n a half hours for the results. a lil nervous just staying positive!!! will let you girls know how we go monday arvo

Naomi - so sorry to hear that Bailey has to go into a brace. As others have said it will go fast you will be surprised and you will be surprised how well Bailey will adjust to it. Took DD2 a couple of days to adjust but after that it will be ok. Us parents take longer to adjust than the kids. With DD having just come out of the DB bar if you have any questions please let me know so I can let you know how we handled the situation. Let me reassure you Bailey will master rolling in it. DD2 learnt how to roll at 4mths in the brace, we didn't think it was possible but she proved it was.
Good luck for Monday.

Hi everyone,
Back from ultrasound.
Her left hip has 47.6% coverage, and her right hip has 56.7% coverage.
And apparently her sockets are shallow, so looks like a while longer in the harness for Miss Lahni. They want her to go for an x-ray to check a few other things out.
See her doctor this afternoon.
