    MAZ and the Autism mummies!!

I got these from a Tshirt site. Some of them will give you a laugh, lol.

I am autistic and I am loved

If you think my hands are full, you should see my

I am not rude, hyper, shy or bad - I'm autistic. Whats your excuse? ( )

Autism is not a tragedy - ignorance is the tragedy.

    Eye contact is overrated.

Not being able to speak is not the same as not having anything to say.

Autism University Synchronised Spinning Team (LMAO)

Their autism doesn't define them, but your ignorance defines you.

Anyone can be normal. It takes someone special to be autistic

Keep staring. That might cure my autism

Anyway, just thought I'd share. Hope all your babies are fantastic, and learning and loving each other.

    Those are pretty funny Nat!

I see a very bright adolescent boy with autism in the social skills groups I do. He has an incredibly dry sense of humour which is just fantastic!

    He wears these t-shirts:

    "keep out of sunlight"

    and

    "meh"

    ...which are just classic!

No, lol. I don't know why. She's pretty fussy with her clothes. If its not 'suitable' it gets given away.

    Nat, they are great.

Actually one even made me think, or should I say re-think my approach to my X-ss.

ETA: (I think my comments needed clarification)

I am not rude, hyper, shy or bad - I'm autistic. Whats your excuse? ( )
My SS has Asperger's, but unfortunately for him he also has poor parents, and has learnt that tantrums will get him what he wants. I think I tend to be too hard on him, and not considerate enough of his internal wiring (didn't want to say dissablilty or condition, its just somehow he got wired differently than I did.. so he is special).

Isn't it funny how a simple t-shirt quote can be such an eye opener.

Now I just need to resolve the issues I have regarding him hurting Brigid and things might improve even more. I will definately be storing that quote in my head and saying it to myself before I open my mouth to speak to him next time.
