I am greatly concerned about my baby's head. He is 8 weeks old and was born with massive cephalhaematoma on both sides of his head. One side has gone completely down and looking very flat but the other side is still swollen. The back of his head is very flat from sleeping on his back even though I try and turn his head on the swollen side. My MCHN has suggested paedi chiropractor but my obstetritian advised against it. We are seeing a paediatrician in few weeks as the flatness on the back of his head is getting worse and he favours the side without the haematoma.
Has anyone gone through this with their bubs and any suggestions please???

Maybe ask your MCHN if you can see the physio they should have one that you can see.
Eleanor's head is flat at the back and we have been seeing a physio through the MCHN and it's helped alot. Also as your son gets older he will move his head more and the flatness on the back will start to go.
The OB didn't give me a reason not to go ahead with the chiro treatment, he just said that he is too young to have any chiro treatments. We are seeing the paedi in couple of weeks so we will ask him what he thinks about the paedi chiro. Has anyone had any experiences with paedi chiro? Positive or Negative?! I would love to hear from other mums' experiences.Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Dear Michelle,
Obviously the flat head issue is quite common. How is Eleanor going with her treatments? When you say you are seeing results, what kind of results are you seeing? Does Eleanor prefer one side to the other? By the way she is a beautiful girl.
