5 weeks to go and still no name for our son!!! help!!

Ok, so we have whittled the list down to a definate two - which are:

    Jake Anthony

Brody John / Brodie John (spelling?)

the other possible contenders which I still love were:

    Jye Anthony

    Jack Anthony

    Connor Anthony

    Riley John

What are your thoughts on the names for boys/teenagers/men, personalities, popularity etc? Any help is much appreciated?

I really like Jake, I think it more suits the progression through the ages. Brody to me always makes me think of a surfer. Out of the other names I like Riley John, another that is a cute kids name but sounds good for a mans name. GL, cant wait to hear your BA.

I like Jake Anthony too. Connor and Riley I don't mind, but Jake would be my pick..

    I really like
    Jake
    Jack
    Riley

With using Anthony as the middle name make sure the initials (with your last name) don't make a silly word. like if your last name starts with B it would be JAB or something like that lol

I like Jake and Jack - not a fan of Brody/Brodie.
Good luck deciding! All the best for your labour and birth.

    Hi Mummyfrog,

My vote would go for Riley John. My best friends little one is named Riley and it suited him as a baby (you know how some names just seem too old for a baby?) and I think it's a gorgeous name but still "manly" for when he grows up. Brodie is actually my nephews name and even though he is 5 now, I'm still not that keen...it still reminds me of a girls name.

I also like Jake and Jack but find they are becoming very common...

    i like riley john too.

i like the name brodie but with john as the middle name in high school i can imagine him getting called BJ in a bad way.

I also like Jake (Jacob appeals to me for mine if it's a boy), although if you are looking for arguements against it, one might think there could be a few Jakes these days due to the "Twilight" phenomenon.
I just called my little newborn Jacob. We wanted a J name and a biblical name, narrowed it down to jacob our joshua, but I hate the nickname joshie so jacob won out. DH and I did have the twilight concern, but we just roll our eyes if someone tries to be a smarty and say to them, "actually it's from another book... The BIBLE!"

Good thinking for how to answer those "Twilight" questions, will keep that in mind if I do go with Jacob!
