Ariel
DH and i have put Ariel on the list for "maybe" names
The only thing, we both like it pronounced 'Ahh -re- el' not 'air- re- el'
How would you spell it to avoid confusion???

our son is called Ariel
and its pronounced as AH- RI- EL- that is the boy's name pronouciation
usually for a girl it is pronouned AIR-RE-ELLE
Ariel means lion of GOD- it is a popular ancient Hewbrew boys name. Its only through little mermaid that it has become more known as a girls name.
If you are concerned with how it is pronounced you could always spell it "ARIAL"

Our DD name is Ariya (pronounced Ahh ree ya) originally it is spelt Arya but we thought she would get "are-ya"
If you want the emphasis on the "ah" at the begininng what about Ahriel?
