Just saw this name on FB *iyeesha* 👎😨
I was reminded today of the two kids of a girl I know. The names themselves aren't bad, but I can never get over the spelling - d . akotta and s . ebastyn. I always read them as Dah-cot-ah and Seb-as-tin. Annoys me every time lol.
Last year I taught an Ieesha and and Aishah. Same pronunciation. I prefer the A spelling.
Oh I saw a corker the other day.
Eathin.... Yep pronounce Ethan
I keep saying to myself Eat thin... Lol
If struggle with Ethan. I want to say ETH-an, not EE-thn. I'm a chemist, I struggle.
Ethan may make the list for Stormy's middle name, if Oliver is the second middle name. EthanOl(iver) is a great name. Even better than Grigio.
Saw a birth announcement this morning welcoming Rufus... A (human) baby boy.
I like Rufus! But then I was a massive fan of Bil and Ted :)
I like Rufus too!
I always think of a dog when I hear it.
My cousin's little boy's name is Ethyn. It doesn't look right.
We did a cake for a Kortni at work last week.
Rufus isn't that bad a name. There is an actor Rufus Sewell who has been in quite a lot of movies and TV shows.
I think the spelling of Ethyn and Kortni are just setting kidlets up for a world of hurt in trying to get their name spelt correctly!
I don't mind Rufus.
Kortni? Ugh.
I agree that names like Rufus are perfectly fine. It's a real name. I can't stand all that misspelling of names though!!! Eathin??!
I love Rufus too. Doesn't sit with my surname though. I did, however, name my child after a cleaning lady. So my judgement can't be trusted.
Hexabel and Miiranda. Neither are typos.
A s t i i n. I had no idea if it was a boy or a girl or how to pronounce it. Turns out it's a girl and it's pronounced Ass like the animal and tin like the metal. No idea why there's 2 i's.
