The one thing to watch with Isabella is the whole twilight connection. Might not be a big issue for you, not a fan of the books/movies myself, But if DH is obsessed with names that could be teased then people might go on about that?

I did mention that because intially thats why i shied away from Isabella, but surprsingly he pointed out that Twilight won't be popular forever! We'll just make very sure not to shorten her name to Bella, which is perfectly fine with us because even though I love Bella and Twilight really ruined it for me we had a dog Bella, so issue solved!

Ella. I actually want to call her Ella but DH won't let me - he believes that people should have names that could be shortened. Not a fan of the shortening Isi. That said, we still might not go with Isabella at all! I honestly don't think we'll decide until she's out

    Thumbs up

i think Chloe really needs to be in there seeing you love it so much, so Isabella Chloe sounds to be a winner with both you and your DH

... it sounds really pretty !!! Great suggestion there Coralla_Chick

chloe is a very common name !! or have a hypinated (sp) name like chloe-jayne so it's a little different
my BF's DD is a Chloe Jayne (although not hypinated) and there are 5 Chloe's in her school class (and ALL blondies, lol) !!

Your DH sure is picky, isn't he!! Glad you've come to a decision. Shame the family didn't agree with your first choice, how annoying and upsetting!

Just thought I'd let you know our DD's name, it's Isobel Elsie and we love it. We call her Izzy too though.

I'd just use it, they'll get over it! It's a lovely name.
Me too. Stuff them, its a name they dont own it.
This is your baby, no one elses.

Sorry, this is something I am pretty passionate about. Most people would be honoured, or have it as tradition to reuse names within a family.
We have 3 Michael's, a Michelle and a Michaela (and 2 of them are siblings), and lots of names where there are at least 2 in the same generation.

Isabella Jane is about the only one I can think of. I prefer Chloe Elizabeth though
