Unhappy DH throws me a curve ball! Not sure of our top name now!

Well I thought we were pretty much done and dusted with a name, and while I don't mind heading in with 2 options, I am stumped that DH has suddenly changed his order.

    Originally we both had

Carys Aeryn as our number 1 and Georgeanna Ashleigh as 2 and now he has switched! ARRGH!! I asked him why and he can't clarify, just said he felt maybe Georgeanna fit better with our DS (Alexander). My feeling was that yelling those two out the back door might be a bit much which is why it is number 2 for me...

    Sigh...

    What does everyone think?

Carys would be my name of choice from what you've chosen. Georgeanna looks a bit confusing to me...I'm not sure how you would say it....if it's a weird spelling for Georgina or not....(I'm thick!)

A friend of mine yesterday gave me a good tip....imagine your child is a doctor and see if it's a name that people can take seriously or not

Am a fan of Carys (my DD is Cerys - same meaning just the other spelling - there are not many of either spelling about so is quite unique but still has traditional link as is Welsh), and I think does go well with Alexander - I know one is short and one is long but I think Carys and Alexander do go well together. Alexander is quite a traditional name was a royal name in Scotland so I think having two Celtic names is also good.

Although Georgeanna and Alexander both have Greek origins so there is the link there too. To me though probably because grew up in UK, when I think Alexander I think Scotland so that is why I personally would pick Carys to go with it.

Hi Mini! Yes I like the doctor thing! My DH always tries announcing them like they have just won a big award! I just imagine cheering them on the sidelines at soccer! LOL

Georgeanna is one of the female variants of George, I read recently they are sort of like this:
    Georgina - most old fashioned
    Georgeanna (pronounced George ayna) next
    Georgieanna (Georgie anna) then finally
    Georgia (most modern variant).

I would have gone with Georgia, but is very popular, plus sounds terrible with our surname!

Hopefully after the birth DH will give me the deciding vote!

Get your DH to yell the two names out as if he were calling the kids...see what he thinks then

I love Carys....so feminine. I prefer Georgia though if it had to be a form of George.

Naughty DH for doing this at the last minute. Lock it in next time Eddy!

Carys is my favourite name and if I was lucky enough to have a girl this would be her name. I have had my girls name picked since I was 9. But the world has different ideas and I am the very lucky mother of two boys and was not planning anymore but since findng out bubba 2 is a boy...well who knows lol

Just on the name thing I hear you we are really really struggling with a boys name for this one. We cannot decide at all. So much easier if bubba was a girl lol.

I like Carys. It looks so pretty written down & I tend to prefer shorter names personally. I hope you can convince him!

You might find a lot more pronunciation issues with Georgeanna
