For me its always been a boys name but that was because of a movie I saw when younger.

However I have a friend with a little girl called bailey and it seems to suit her.

I have always seen Bailey as a boys name, but when it came to choosing a girls name, my husband was set on Bailey, so i comprimised and said we could have it as a girls name if we could change the spelling, so we have a 5 yr old dd Bailea
We think it looks more feminine on paper.

It's my maiden name, so it's not one I'd actually use as a first name (I'd just find it too confusing!). The Baby Name Wizard site says Bailey is much more common as a girls name than a boys name, but I think it would suit either.

Orginially I thought of Bailey as a boys name, but in the last few years I have noticed that more and more girls are being named Bailey, sometimes with different spelling. I guess it is how strong you feel on unisex names.
