We are totally stuck. We both really like Priya but DH doesn't want two P names, or for people to look at her funny if she has blonde hair/blue eyes/fair skin and an Indian name
So what do you think of Cleo? Does it go with Parker? I can see it on an 'older' person, but I'm not sure about a child?
I know someone who called their DD Cleo. She is 2 and it really suits her. It's not a name I'd ever heard used before actually. She is a fair/strawberry blonde child.
Even tho Cleo Parker does have a nice ring to it, I am actually not a big fan of the name Cleo - sorry. It's the type of name for me that sounds "unfinished" IYKWIM? Almost like it should be a nickname to a longer name.
Priya Parker is really pretty too though! And I don't think it being an Indian name matters at all. My name is French and I am as Australian bogan as they come..
Hmmm, it's more of a magazine name to me! Yes, I read it a lot in my teenage years
I think it goes well with Parker but I'm not a huge fan. I like your other choice much more. Having two 'P' names is fine and I wouldn't be at all concerned if she had fair hair, etc. That's like saying a little Asian girl shouldn't be called Jane, IYKWIM.
Go with your first choice, it's pretty and so different
Thanks girls! I probably should have clarified that Parker is DS...
*Ang* - I too think it sounds unfinished at times, which is why I wanted some opinions.... although I like the fact you can't really shorten it! DH's parents are wonderful at doing that
I quite like Cleo, its such a lovely unique name. I knew a Cleo in high school and she was really lovely. I also think Cleo and Parker work well together x
I know a gorgeous little Priya with the blondest hair and bluest eyes. Parker sounds good with both of them and I think both go well with your surname too chicky xo
