    Hugh - terrible rhyming names?

OK Hugh is one of my favourite names on our list so far. However DD is at a stage where she loves rhyming everything so when she heard me talking about Hugh she started saying Pooh!

Does anyone have a Hugh or know a Hugh? Is it a problem? Is it terrible to give a name that could so easily be changed into something negative by other kids?

I think any name can be turned into something by kids hun - Hugh is a GREAT name, I really like it! FWIW my kids talk about Poo ALL the time, they think it is hilarious to say POO POO and WEE WEE - we just ignore it, distract and talk about something else, novelty will eventually wear off!

Kids will find something nasty to rhyme with EVERY name if they are so inclined. If you love Hugh, go for it!

DD was going to be a Hugh if she was a DS, so we love it.
I'm with Tan though, mine think anything to do with poo is humorous, and it's offered as often as she can lol.

I love the name Hugh!!! My sister jokes that she should have named her last son Hugh, but only because she calls him Hugh Jass. He was born 11lb 1oz and is still a very big bubba.

Thanks Ladies. I think DD just sort of ruined it for me for a while but it is definately still at the top of the list. Now to just get DH to discuss the list properly...

Divvy - I love Hugo as an alternative but DH really doesn't like it (well at the moment, he is constantly changing his mind!)

lol *snap* that's hilarious cause we couldnt use Heath cause FIL is Keith, and we thought it would too silly to be calling out together " Heath and Keith "
