    Mae VS May

DH is adamant that we're having Mae (middle name, not giving away the first name). I'm not a fan, I prefer May.

First name is 8 letters, 3 syllables. Not like that makes any difference.

What do you prefer? Mae or May?

For a middle name I would spell it May, if it was a first name id spell it mae.. (Just because I HAVE to be different LOL)

May. Its what I had picked for a middle name for DS if he was a girl.

Just to throw another variation into the mix, I've taught a Mai which I thought was a nice variation (Asian background) - and I'm not one for odd variations. Either version you've got there look good too.

I love Mae. Not a fan of May but for some reason with an "e" on the end it's a whole different name

Either work. Mae West is a great example of a Mae personally, I'd make the decision based on numerology, but that's just me.

I like Mae better. Only for the fact that I don't like May because it's spelt the way the month of May is. Strange maybe, lol!! I think Mae just seems to look more like a name than the month.

Mae for me Charlotte Mine and DD's middle names are spelt this way so it is sentimental for me but my opinion is that it's a prettier/more feminine way of spelling it also.

But having said that my mother has this middle name but spelt May.

Whatever you guys can negotiate will be perfect

I much prefer Mae, for the same reasons as above May seems like a time of the year not so much a name, in any case, it sounds exactly the same and thats all that really matters right?
