Found out on Friday we are having a girl. We had previously thought about Emily, but a close relative has an Amelie and it is too close to use it (and also very popular atm).
Both DH and I like the name Imogen but the few times we have mentioned it we haven't got very positive reactions.
What is your reaction to the name? Do you have any alternatives that aren't in the top 10 names at the moment, but are still classic/traditional.
When I was younger (17) I first heard Imogen & wasn't too keen, but I really like it now!
I met 2 sisters a while ago Immy & Onny (Imogen & Ondene) They were so cute
I also love the nale Imogen...remember not everyone is going to like it..We had several friends who told us straight out they hated our dd's name made me want to use it even more lol
I love that name and would love to have a daughter called Imogen as well, but I can't because of my last name. (think a celebraty whose name is Imogen and that's why we can't call any of our kids that). But I think you should go for it.
Imogen is a lovely name.
So is Emily too,I?m a bit bias though my dd name is Emily...lol,and I wouldn`t be bothered about other peoples opinions either,it`s up to you & DH to decide not the whole family with their 2 cents worth,go with what you like, hun.
I had a very kind & lovely English teacher in secondary school named Imogen and she was very classy & attractive ... a few boys had crushes on her ... (She was a brunette with amazing blue eyes)
