Yeah, that's pretty much the only way to get people to say my name right, it always goes "I'm Kiri" "Kerri?" "No Kiri" "Kira?" "No, Kiri, like Kiri Te Kanawa". Very frustrating lol

I teach a little boy named Jina.I first thought it was a little girl pronounced "Geena" but its a boy pronounced "jyna" I can't believe some parents give their children names like this..Kids are very very cruel at times and to name your son a name that sounds like vagina is unfair. I understand that every parent has a right to name their child what they like but a little consideration doesn't hurt kwim?

I used to know a guy called Drayton. Not so unusual until you find out his last name is also Drayton. So Drayton Drayton....

We have a new mum at the school (hello if you lurk)

Her name is B r y n j a. Which I think is really pretty when written down. We asked her how to say it and she said "like Brin' ya own drinks" I can't think of her son's name but the other is pronounced Justice.

I spaced it in the hope google doesn't pick it up when putting it all together LOL

my XF's mate had a baby girl a few weeks ago and they named her Zoowie (Zoe) and no i didnt mis-spell it with a double O.

I also know a little girl who is about 6 her name is Yndigo (Indigo) and her twin sister Monet

A family member named their first daughter TAOME (pronounced Tay-oh-me) - stands for 'the apple of my eye'.

I like unique names myself my own name is Regan most people pronounce my name as Ragen which used to annoy me back in school lol. i have heard of a few other Regans but not many and they were usually boys and i'm a girl T.T

I gave it heaps of consideration for my own children after meeting this little boy. I think it's a cool name. A little feminine sounding though, but I like the NN Luc.
