a unique boys name to go with his sister's name "Liberty"

ok so I have a beautiful daughter named "Liberty" meaning freedom, God's gracious gift. Her name can also be shortened for work to "Libby" if she's the ceo somewhere one day haha

So we're looking for unique boys names that can be shortened for a "work name"
but all we've come up with so far is

Raven (and Ray for short) but the meaning isn't too crash hot (large black bird... ummm yeah interesting).

Oh and no "C" or "K" names as our surname starts with "C"

Thanks looking forward to reading your suggestions!

I did it the opposite way around, Monty for everyday use, and Montgomery if he is ever a lawyer!

Sorry that is no help to you at all. Good luck though, I am sure you will find something lovely. I love your daughter's name btw

Barrett - meaning 'strong as a bear' could be shortened to Rett

Sanjay - meaning 'victory', Jay for short

Waylon - meaning 'land by the road' Lonny for short (not a great meaning, but nice name)

Everett - meaning 'strong boar' once again Rett for short, although is a very professional sounding name.

    GL with it all.

I third the vote on Everett also. I agree it's such a strong name and i really like the idea of shortening to Rett. Good luck with finding a name

what about Nixon or Tyron!! (ofcourse i love these names)
Nixon could be Nick and Tyron Ty

    another suggestion:
Freedom! (could be shortened to Dom, Freed, Free, Ed) links your 2 children together as he has the name of his sisters name meaning!

I love the name Malachi (could be Mal for short, although I like the long version), Gabriel (Gabe), and Xander (Alexander - although that's probably not unusual enough!).

Love your choice of Liberty - I went to school with a Liberty. She went by Libby mostly but I thought it was a lovely unique name!

just realised that the full meaning of Liberty's name is with her middle name - which I edited out as I realised that this post was coming up in search engines.

I love the name Xander - that is really cool! It means defender of mankind or something awesome like that.

We are also thinking Zade which means wisdom (depending on which baby book you look at!). We aren't getting many good reactions from our name choices but it was the same when we told people about the name Liberty... *sigh* when will people realise that its polite to say "wow i love that name" haha

The only time they will ever do that is if the first time they hear the name is when you're standing in front of them presenting them with a gorgeous baby in your arms! Hahaha That's why I like forums like these; test names out on the general public but don't tell close family and friends until the kid is actually here!

Personally this is my favourite of the name forums I've come across, as people are usually very positive about names that are unusual... lots of others are way more mainstream and only prefer common names. I personally love your choice of Zade as well, and think that either Zade or Xander would go excellently with Liberty GL!
