Out of your two I prefer the first, it's lovely
If you're looking for suggestions I think Annabelle is beautiful, but I'm a tad biased![]()
So I know I did a thread about names for this baby earlier but we still haven't definitely decided on a name yet! (picked a boys name no worries lol) But anyway I'm getting a little anxious about finding the perfect name for little miss and feel like I'm seriously running out of time -considering I'm weeks past when 3 of my children would have already arrived and after tomorrow this will officially be my longest pregnancy she really could arrive any time now!
Ok so at the moment the only names we have on short list are T.alitha and N.aarah, both pretty much mean the same thing (young maiden/little girl). But opinions on those or suggestions for other names would be so greatly appreciated!! I like to use biblical first names (that aren't after someone less than desirable eg. Vashti or Delilah) and a little unusual or at least uncommon. PLEASE help me out lovely BB ladies![]()

Lol that's my nieces name! You're not secretly my sister are you coz she's pregnant again too![]()
I like both of your names. I have an Eloise (Elouise) and its perfect. Not common but very pretty I think! Good luck choosing![]()
How about...
Martha
Ruth
Naomi
Abigail
Deborah
Dinah
Eve
Hadasah
Jemimah
Leah
Miriam
These are all from the bible.
Eden
Naomi
Esther
Patience
Honour
I've always kind of like Damaris, that's from the New Testament. I like Sapphira also, even though she is notorious for the whole lie thing. You could always say that the name means 'honesty is fairly important' lol. Don't forget Lydia either, that's a nice one too.
Yeah I knew you weren't actually my lil sister lol but we can be surrogate sisters
There's some lovely suggestions in there. Some can't be used because of other family members etc but I like Miriam, Naomi and patience. I very nearly used sapphira for dd2 (shes a September baby so birth stone of sapphire) but talked myself out of it because of the biblical character. I'll definitely be mentioning Damaris to dh because he specifically said last night 'whats a good name that means peaceful, quiet or gentle?' And Damaris apparently means gentle. My other daughters are L.ydia and Ad.ina btw![]()
Any other suggestions I can throw at dh tonight??
I like Talitha. It was on a short list for one of our girls.
Also like Eve, (or Eva?) Esther, Rebekah, Johanna, Anna, Eden, Faith, Grace, Hope, Keziah (this one can be pronounced many ways - KEE zee ah, keh ZY ah, or KEH zee ah. The last is my favourite.) Mercy, Selah (I believe it's usually pronouced SAY lah) Tirzah (TEER zah, I think.)
You can also look at biblical boy names and feminize them, if you like. If this baby was a girl, she would be Matthea (mah TAY ah.)
Gabrielle, Michaela, etc.
Thanks again for all the thoughts lovely ladies... We ended up going with my original choice of T.alitha, it seems to really suit her so far as she is such a sweet little girl![]()
