Amelia Tenielle Margaret
Oscar Justin Francis
They sound right to me that way!
Tenielle Margaret
Margaret Tenielle
Francis Justin
Justin Francis
I'm having a sudden crisis with my chosen names for Cookie. I've already picked what it will be - but since s/he's going to have two middle names, I'm not sure which order they should go in. So, which do you like more from these?
Amelia...
- Margaret Tenielle
- Tenielle Margaret
Oscar...
- Francis Justin
- Justin Francis
Context for all our middles:
Tenielle: My name. My mum and I both have our mums' names as our middle name. I always said I was going to carry on this tradition with my first daughter (just in case I don't get a second.)
Margaret: My nan's name. I thought of it when pregnant with Ianto, because he was due in her birth month and I'd realised that she hadn't had any of her descendants named after her (as opposed to my pa, who has no less than four, maybe five.) She was one of the first to find out I was pregnant with Cookie, long before I planned to tell anyone. She died suddenly when I was eight weeks along.I still can't believe it. I never got to tell her I planned to give my daughter her name as a middle.
Justin: Scott's family tradition thingie for boys is that they all have surnames starting with J. Justin is one of the very few he agreed on when I threw a heap of J names at him. I'm not 100% sure I like it, but we agree on something and that's all that matters
Francis: My nan again. Her middle name was Frances, and I really really want this bub to have her name in part, so we simply changed it to the male version. There's the danger that my uncle may think we've taken his name (his birth name is Francis, which he hates, and goes by Bill) but hopefully I'll be able to rectify that easily.

Margaret Tenielle and Francis Justin.
Otherwise you'll have an ATM and an OJ![]()
Amelia Tenielle Margaret - although that one could go either way
Oscar Francis Justin
I rekon...
Amelia Margaret Tenielle
Oscar Justin Francis
I like the idea of putting the family tradtion of carrying the mothers name first, so Tenielle Margaret. It so beautiful how you are carrying of your nan's name as well.
Tenielle Margaret, Justin Francis
Amelia Margaret Tenielle ... and ... Oscar Francis Justin
my DD has two middle names and i find alot of paperwork, mail, etc it often is the first middle name mentioned or intial seen and not so much the second middle name (so yeh keep that in mind and i think by putting the names most important to you as the *first* middle name) ... i also chose the names above cause they flowed and sounded nicer in that order![]()
Amelia Tenielle Margaret
Oscar Francis Justin
I LOVE your choice of first name too'Tis DD's name!
I love the idea of having your name as the first middle name, but I just think 'Margaret Tenielle' flows a little better.
And I think 'Justin Francis' sounds better, when I say it the other way around it sounds like 3 separate boys, not a whole name, ITMS? lol, not sure it does! Oh well, either way they're all lovely names!
ok, i did like Tenielle Margaret, (it dosent matter about the order of initials, im spc, df is bltt ds is sat, and sil is rat)
but after reading smiles post, i now recon the order of importance, unless you just wanted to make sure the name was there somewere, itms?? i know df has 2 middle names but only uses one 85% of the time.
hope that helped and not added to the confusion.... (said someone who has a short list of 50 names still!)
Thanks allAll great reasons so you've given me lots to think about
