ariarna? i have a friend by this name :)
i really like eleanor and miranda!
strong yet feminine names...
I used to have a little cat named antoinette, which reminded me I had a cat named Josephine and still have a dog named felicity. Which is annoying as now I can't use them for my own babies!
I like Lucinda (after seeing a numberplate saying Lucy on my way home today!)
DP just vetoed
Eleanor is also really nice
Eleanor and Angus do go really well together. That is in fact, my DD's full name! Her middle name is Edith, which I loved as first name too, with nickname Edie. Also one our list were Millicent Mary, Margaret Maeve and Evelyn Elizabeth. No I don't have a thing for alliteration, it just kind of worked that way. Jemima, Imogen and Juliet are on our list for later on, should it be required.
But I am thrilled that so many people love Eleanor. FWIW I intensely dislike the nicknames Ellie and Elle. She gets Nellie, and maybe down the track Nell. And probably, as a rebellious teen, she will go with Elle to annoy me. I'm fully expecting that.
I love Eleanor, Miranda, Lucinda and Sydney - Sydney was what we were going to call DS2 had he been a girl. And the other 3 go perfectly with the names of the other kids.
Thanks so much again everyone for all your comments and suggestions.
I’m sure that something on the list will be just perfect for her, if she is indeed a girl. (Like I said, we have a short list but need to look at the little creature and see what suits before we decide for sure).
MadB and my hairdresser think it’s a boy and the middle aged tradie behind me in the line at Franklins is absolutely adamant that it’s a boy, so DH and I have been working on our equally eclectic boy’s names list. I post it soon. ;)
I'm cracking up about the 'absolutely adamant' middle aged tradie! Is he psychic or in possession of special powers!?......
I look forward to seeing your equally eclectic boys' names list soon.
Ash, it was a bit creepy actually, he said “When you give birth, you’ll have to think of me and say, yep that guy in Franklins, he was right!” *shudder* (thinking of him kind of wasn't in my birth plan 'ya know)
Ahh well, stalling labour for me wouldn’t be a bad thing (hoping for a slower one this time). His "THING", I thought I was just lucky. But yeah, I didn’t ask his name, on account of the fact that I wanted to get the hell outa there...
Since you don't know creepy guy's name, 'Franklin' could be a possibility
I don't blame you for wanting to get away from him as fast as possible.....
But Franklin is Gob's puppet on arrested development.
Reminds me of the delivery guy who was adamant I was having a HUGE baby. "Seriously. You need to be careful"
I like Eleanor and Lucinda.
What about Elizabeth? It was our first choice, but we decided to use it as a second name in the end.
My list consisted of
Elizabeth
Eden
Nyssa (ni- sa, or like Nissan without the 'n')
Edith
I'm sure we had others, but we weren't expecting a girl...
Can't wait to see your boys list!
I like Hazel. I was also thinking Heather to play off you avatar of the Heath, seeing you obviously like it enough for it to be your avy. :p
My fav is Adelaide, followed by Georgia.
I like Lucinda and I think it goes nicely with your other kids names. I love Lulu for short!
I also like Violet, but not keen on Vi.
What about Franka?
