    Shortlist, genuinely can't decide!

I spoke to my Mum last night and she very much shot down alot of these suggestions haha, it was delightful, but I'm still no closer to choosing!

    Boy:
    Landon
Bastion (Mum says it sounds like a Frenchman, makes me think of the Never Ending Story, awwwwww!)
    Dallas
    Teirnan/Tynan (pronounced Tar-nan)
    Luka
    Blair

    Girl:
Lacey (which is not actually my real name, my name is Conor, big fail on my mothers part as clearly...I am a girl )
    Avalon/Ava
    Dot
    Abernathy/Abbie
    Blair

HELP hahahaha I cannot even come close to choosing!!!!!
Oh also middle names will be Isabella or William (both mine and the father's middle names)

    From your list I like:
    Landon
Bastion (was on my list - never ending story did it for me too! - DH thought it was too much like Sebastian which for some reason he absolutely hates though.)

Avalon or Ava - I really like Avalon but it's already in the family

Eaxctly the reason I never told anyone the names we picked out - they can't say much once it's over & done with!!
Bastion is my fav out of all of those!! I also liked Blair for both sexes, Landon, & Lacey.

I like Dallas and Luka and Blair and Ava (Avalon just makes me think of dodgy Toyota's!)

Dallas and Luka were/are on my boys list too

I think Luca is gorgeous and can be shortened to Luke if thats what your DS wants to be called later in life.

I also love Lacey and Avalon/Ava

Ok I like, Lacey Isabella and Blair Isabella for girls names and Dallas William And Bastion William for boys. I always found it easier to say the names with the middle name. Helped us pick ds' name when he came out, Noah Henry just sounded better than the other names we'd thought about

Landon - not really a fan
    Bastion - lovely name!
Dallas - makes me think of dodgy 80's tv show!
Teirnan/Tynan - nice names but I wouldn't pronounce either of them as Tarnan (sorry!)
    Luka - gorgeous
    Blair - my fav!

    Lacey - my fav!
    Avalon/Ava - both gorgeous names
Dot - I would prefer this as a nickname?
    Abernathy/Abbie - I think Abernathy Isabella is a bit of a mouthful!
Blair - I prefer Blair as a boys name

Ive tried to be honest with opinions of each name (sorry to be blunt!)
    My picks are in bold

Argh it's so hard picking names!

    For boys I like:
Bastion - I really like this. It does make me think of the phrase "The last bastion" eg the last wall, the last resort but I don't think many people would think of that. I'm into words, so I'm think I'm the odd one out there, but just wanted to give you a heads up. It's not a bad conotation in a name!

Teirnan - I like this, but I'm used to it being pronounce Tear (as in cry) - nan. For the pronouncation given I might go with the spelling Tairnan?? Not that it really matters, depends if you like names to be spelt the way they sound, I don't think it matters!

    For girls:
Abernathy - that is a really awesome name. I might add it to my own list! ! Do you pronounce it Ab-er-nath-ee or Ab-er-neigh-thee?

    Dot - Love this too.

    Good luck!

    Good luck! xx

    Here are my thoughts

    Boy:
    Landon - not a fan
Bastion - maybe shortened from Sebastion but not as a name by itself
Dallas - dodgy 80's tv show here too
Teirnan/Tynan (pronounced Tar-nan) - would never have thought to pronounce it that way so a bit confusing
    Luka - I love it
    Blair - I love it

    Girl:
    Lacey - yep
    Avalon/Ava - yep beautiful
Dot - very much a nickname or kids name, can't see this as being the name of a successful woman in her 30's
    Abernathy/Abbie - nice
    Blair - I love it

I like Blair for both boy and girl, it is an all-round nice name. Not so sure on the others, like Lacey though. Luka isn't bad but I might spell it differently.

Isn't Avalon one of the airports in Melbourne? (sorry)

    My 2c:

    Boy:
    Landon - *shrug*
Bastion - concerned about the teasing he may get, "Bastion's a bast%^d"...
Dallas - for some reason I see this as more of a girl's name, don't know why. I'd end up nicknaming him Cowboy
Teirnan/Tynan (pronounced Tar-nan) - a little bit boganish for me
Luka - like it, also Lucas
Blair - not a personal fan for a boy. Reminds me of Tony Blair

    Girl:
    Lacey - cute
    Avalon/Ava - either is sweet
Dot - cute, but not huge fan. Short for Dorothy. Reminds me of old ladies or Dot & the Kangaroo (so sad)
Abernathy/Abbie - OK with Abbie or Abigail, not Abernathy
Blair - better for a girl, but still not a fan. Blair Witch Project reminder

hmmm. sorry - just my personal taste. prefer the girls names overall. Any chance of using William as a first name?

It sure is. It's also a car. But still a lovely name IMO.
