    Something "normal"?

We don't know what we're having yet, but I'm trying to figure out a girl's name anyway. A boy name was easy

We've agreed on Isis for the first name if it's a girl, but we're having trouble finding a middle name that works.

I originally wanted Elspeth for the middle name, but DH can't pronounce it, and I'd have settled for Esther instead, but he hates it.
He thinks seeming "Isis" is a "different" name we should go for something normal like Sarah (my middle name) or Evalyn. Evalyn's a nice name, but I'm not feeling it.

Nerida was my mum's name and I'd love to use something similar, but haven't found anything that grabs me.

Right now I'm loving Valkyrie (Possibly spelled a bit differently - like Valkiri -though that's not really normal is it?) I'm not really keen on traditional names.

Our random "maybe" names to give you an idea:

    Isis Valkyrie
    Isis Evalyn
    Isis Willow
    Isis Hannah
    Isis Sarah

    Opinions? Ideas? Suggestions?

    Thanks

How do you pronounce it? Out of those I prefer Willow, but that could change if I'm pronouncing the first name incorrectly!

DH and I seem to pronounce it differently, I think it's because of our accents
    So, EYE-sis or ICE-us.

... I just realised that if I scroll down far enough I can see other posts. Gee that took me awhile!

    Arwyn and Verity are nice

    Something "normal"?

What about Elzbietta /Ellesbietta? (Elles or ietta for short)
Or Vlasta? (Val or Asta for short)
Both very European names but easy to say abd pronounce.
Isis is an Egyptian god I think.

Out of your list, I would only consider Sarah or Hannah as "normal" or mainstream.

I do like Isis Willow though.

    Isis Kate
    Isis Lisbeth
    Isis Samantha
    Isis Rose

Is it to be pronounces I-sis or Is-is?

Not Valkyrie - makes me think of large women in armour riding around in chariots...

I love the first name Isis. Middle names: Sarah, Hannah and Willow are nice.

    What about:
    Eve/Eva
    Ella/Ela
    Diana/Diane
Katherine/Catherine/Katrina/Katie - or any other variation

Starfish - That was roughly DH's response to Valkyrie as well lol. A shame really because I can't get that one out of my head right now!

I'm writing down a bunch of suggestions you all have given me though. Keep them coming pretty please?

If you like the sound of Valkyrie, then what about Valerie?

I could probably be convinced lol. It's a nice name, and there's a granny on his side with that name too. I've put it on the list... but.. I dunno, you know? It just isn't as *strong* in my opinion.
