    Too much of a mouthfull????

Well I'm 37 weeks pregnant and DH hasn't even looked trough a baby name book! There is one girls name, however, that I love, love, love and DH does too. I've always liked this name so I know that it's not just a passing thing. Problem is although we both love it we are afraid that it is just too much of a mouthful with our last name and just sounds a bit too weird.

    So what do you think?

    Sacha Sharkey

    Too much of a mouthful?

    TIA
    Carrie

I'm not really a fan of first name and last name having the same initial - but thats just me.

If you guys love it - go for it!

yep, pronouned Sasha - I haven't even really considered different spellings as thought that we wouldn't be able to use it. Thanks for your reply...wonder what others will say...

I said it out loud a few times... it sounds like Sash-sha-sha Key! Maybe she would be a ballroom dancer!!

It is quite a mouthful, but if you like it, go for it!

mmm, for me I think it is a bit much. But I don't like first and last names starting with the same letter either.
    Sorry!
I love the name Sasha though!

I find it a mouthful to say, it kept coming out shasha sharkey. Maybe it because it's 5.50am and it's too early to talk (or think).

i found it a bit difficult to say but i think it would sound god with a hyphonated name like Lee/Grace or something like that.

of your other names i like Kassidy best and goes nice with Kyla & Gabriel!
so do u have a boys name picked JIC??

and yay for reaching FT again!!

Thanks for all the replies, you're great!
Lady Zaidie- Are you sure you're not having a go???
Nickers- Thanks! Funny how you get to full term and all you want is the bub to come out! Yep we have a boys name, well I have a name, DH isn't wrapt with it but unless he actually looks in the name book and comes up with something better, i'm sticking with it.

I'm still undecided about it - To me, the more i say Sacha Sharkey, the more it sounds okay to me. A bit unsure about a hyphenated name, i'll run it by DH, probably because we have never had hyphenated names in our family before.

i thought of this thread last night when i was watching tv and an ad came on with Georgia May Jagger on it. i thought Georgia Jagger would be a mouthful but the May bit really breaks it up and it sounds lovely...so....what about Sacsha May Sharkey??
