Unique but not one-of-a-kind Boy Names

    Hi -

We have a girls name sorted, but still trying to work out a boys name, we thought we had decided on Ryder Lennox, but still not 100% sure... What do you ladies think of the following names - or do you have any suggestions for other names. I know I still have a way to go, but we really struggle with boys names so want to put it to bed sooner rather than later:

    Ryder
    Jett
    Reggie
    Jasper
    Levi
    Angus
    Mylo
    Alfie
    Phoenix
    Rufus
    Luka
    Casper
    Alby
    Didier
    Zevi
    Joaquin
    Mateo

Our daughters name is W i l l o w so we like a little bit of different names, but not made up.

Look forward to your feedback and / or suggestions

I really like Ryder Lennox. We have a cooper (DH loved it, I like it a lot but I find it very common which annoys me) and Daylen, after DH got the final say on Coopers name I got to name the next bub which is why Daylen is a little more unique

Other names on our list were

    Hunter
    Logan
    Dallas
    Eli
    Baylen
    Xavier
    Jonas
    Cailan
    Emmett
    Emerson
    Luca
    Kai
    Quinn
    Saxon
    Jace

Boys names are hard! We are struggling this time around too. Out of your list I like Jasper the most.

Our 6 year son's name is Aricyn - which is a Scandinavian name. Sometimes its good to look at other countries for inspiration - its definitely the best boy name that I have ever come across, and people probably think we have made that up. We haven't obviously, just most Scandinavian people don't obviously live in Australia LOL

Yes, Jasper is a great name, don't feel like I can use it though as some really good friends named their dog Jasper a year ago. At the time I was like OHHHH NOOO!!!

    Azarias

I think you should stick with Ryder Lennox. It's great & goes well with your DD's name. From your list I also like Jett, Phoenix, Luka (I prefer Lucas though), Joaquin and Mateo. I know I pronounce Joaquin completely wrong though but I like my pronunciation . I also know an Angus. a Levi & a Jasper. I have a friend with a L ennix and a Z ade. I quite like both of those.

Ryder is a little too conventional for my taste- hasn't it been fairly popular? I love Lennox though. I also love Emmett from your list. Our first son was almost called Jasper- I love it!

I have a hard time sharing the names I used... I'm too possessive sorry! But here are some others:
    Franklin
    Zenith
    Macsen
    Fox
    Baxter
    Marvin
    River
    Zeke
    Zev
    Ferris
    Zarius
    Orlando
    Otto
    Digby
    Linus
    Dash
    Otis
    Jonte
    Balin
    Rover
    Ziggy

Just typing those out makes me want to use them again but I've already chosen another boy's name if we have a third and I'm keeping that to myself too. There are so many awesome names!!

Zeke is nice. Funny you have Digby on the list, I love it but it was pre birth name for DD so can't use it.
That's what I was thinking Ryder is a bit common, had a look its not in the too 50, think it was big a few years ago...

One of my DS's is Rhys, he was originally going to be Cale but DH decided he didn't like it.

What about Jarvis, I name I really liked but DH was never going to consider.

I am obsessed with Zeke but it totally doesn't work with our surname. So sad!

Maybe that is it- around the time my first son was born so about 2008-2009 Ryder seemed really popular.

Zeke always reminds me of the dog in the Far Side cartoons.

    What about Lennox Jasper?

From your list Matteo is my favourite.

I love Matteo too, but a friend (not a close one) has used it.
DH won't agree with Lennox as a first name...
I like Jarvis, but doesn't flow with surname!
    Loving all the ideas girls!!

We had Jasper and Ezekiel for DD if she was a he!
But we also weren't sure what bubs was or would look like.

    Good luck!
