oh i can help you, maybe

i'm pretty creative with names... i can make one up on the spot, usually. just tell me what you prefer in terms of sounds. personally, i like long vowel sounds better than short, and i like v in the name.

    Shadyn (australian name)
    Hethi
Brantin (derivitive of "brand" meaning sword or beacon)
Dyani ("deer" in native american, not sure what tribe)
    Trayf
Zephyr (zephyrus was the greek god of the west wind)

Oh please stick with Xanthe if you have a baby girl! It is an awesome name and not too common yet I reckon!

I adore unusual names (quite obviously) and when we named Ds1 Jett WAS unusual, now its so common I nearly want to cry So we went with Ripley for #2 and only know of one other. #3 is going to be Gage which is again another unusual name.

Remember to check on the Births Deaths Marriages top 100 list for the previous year if your really wanting something uncommon. I always double check any of my name idea's against that before we choose.

I have just fallen in love with Dusk for a girl and Finlay for a boy, i don't think DF will be as keen though. He's more into traditional "strong" names. We have Jackson lined up for a boy and Sianna/Sienna for girl, although neither of them are set in stone yet because we now we'll change our minds a 100 times by the time bub gets here!
hmmm I love Dusk that is just gorgeous!

if he's not happy having it as a first name...hyphenate baby

    Sianna Dusk

How do you check this Anna? I like uncommon names too. In fact, when I was pregnant with DS, I said to DH, no names in the top 10 please!!
