Question Using DD1 and DD2's middles if we have another girl

We have a boys name all sorted but so far we only like the idea of using Emily Elizabeth which are the middle names of our two girls. I like the combination, just not sure if its the right kind of thing to do?

If you like it, do it. I have an uncle whose first name was the middle name of an older brother. You obviously like the names or you wouldn't have chosen them for your first two daughters.

It is the name of the girl in Clifford the Big Red Dog, don't know if that would change anything.

.... i was just about to say the same thing, my DD loves her character on the show

I really like Emily Elizabeth sounds very pretty, if it's what you love then go for it

One of the other BB girls has a DD called Emily Elizabeth

I think you call them whatever you want to call them, I don't think it matters if its the other's middle names, obviously you love the names!! And if it suits the new bub - why not?

Couldn't not reply, Emily Elizabeth was the name of one of my aunty's. She died about 2 years ago. She was always referred to as Betty.

It's a lovely combination together, could you add a new first name and keep their middle names as her middle name to give her her own name. I just believe each child is entitled to "their" own name. My boys both have middle names that are from family members, although our little girl has her own name (one of her middle names is the same as one of my nieces with a different spelling, but it was not used for that reason) Not sure what you could put in front of those names though.

Mollycat you have put into words what i am struggling with! Dh wants to use the combo I love the way it sounds but I agree each child should be entitled to their own name.

My MIL's first 4 DS's had the one before's first name for their middle name, & her 3rd was named after her dec brother. All did have their own first names, but the name you have is very pretty & I don't see a problem with it.
