DD has two middle names. all my bro's kids do too - i just think it flows nicely (and they have meaning for us!)
Emerald (my birthstone - and hers too - but we didn't know that when we picked the name a couple of years back!) Nevaeh (heaven spelt backwards - to honor our angel babies) Rose (if you could see our yard, you'd know!
she gets Emerald (or poppet, or poss, or whatever else we can think of) most of the time - but when she is ignoring us (little box eyes!) or doing something very cute (or naughty) she gets Emerald Nevaeh Rose
aww bg thats beautiful hun.
thanks girls i would really love to use this name if i have a boy , but now i would for sure knowing theres heaps of kiddies with 3 names and it really would be honouring coops dad.
Molly-jane has a middle name and a last name... so same thing.
I dont think it sounds funny, unless you plan on calling him buy his full name frequently...
Also people will shorten names... its frustrating, but something you have to deal with.... Molly-Jane which i often type as MJ, but NEVER call her that, is called MJ, Molly and most annoyingly Mol.
Name you child what ever you want.
I have a friend that had 4 middle names as her mum couldnt choose!
I am another my ds1 has three names he is
Hamish Richard- David. ( although we do tend to hyphenate his middle names.
he has both of his granddads names. At the time he was the only boy and we didn't think of having any other children so wanted to honor both grandparents.
DH has three names, I have three names, DS has three names.
I have two middle names picked out for a second son and the daughter's name we like is three names.
Personally, I'd go with the three names.
I have not had any problems with forms (well aside from the fact two of my names have "funny" spellings even though I don't find them that amusing) for any of us. Only "problem" was DH's old bank would only use two initials on his cards. Our current bank uses all our name on the cards. The names aren't too long so will fit in just fine.
After 3 days of deliberating over our DD name we managed to come up with Sophie Victoria (Victoria being after the state i moved to, to be with my DP) then my last name as the 3rd name as we r not married and the fact we couldnt decide who's name should be first if we hypenated our last names. Then my DP's last name as her surname.
Abit complicated and unusual, but i like the fact that my last name will always be apart of her name whether she gets married or not
I think it's okay as long as you don't expect them to use all names for EVERYTHING!! it's a nice way to include family members or friends names. I knew a lady who had 5 girls - the first 1 she gave 3 names so felt she had to do the same with the next. The next 3 were triplets so she had to come up with 9 names!! Imagine remembering all that!
My girls bith have 3 names - their 2nd middle name is my surname so
Genevieve Claudia F**** B***** (Claudia as DP's father and grandfather had Claude in their names)
Juliette Nicola F**** B***** (Nicola after our wonderful OB Genevieve actually chose this name as she loved our OB)
