Red face What do you think of these?

Me and DP have had many lengthy discussions on what we should call our bub. We have these names picked.

    Girl:

    Kailey Summer

    Kailey Megan

    Summer Lea

    Scarlett Lea

    Boy:

    Ayrton James

    Oscar William

Keep in mind we have 'Babb' as the last name. And the boy names are the only ones we like. So heres to hoping we dont have more than 2 boys.

They're nice. The most important thing is that you like them though.

Is Ayrton pronounced Airton? That's how I imagine it.

I'm a nicknames person, so if you are too, think about what you'd call Scarlett, are you okay with Scar as a nickname. Some nicknames I've heard are Scarrie, Scally and Lettie.

Yep, Ayrton is pronounced that way. Its actually after a rally car driver that DP was a huge fan of when he was a boy, Ayrton Senna. So he has always wanted to name his boy after him.

ETA: I love all the girl names so picking just one will be HARD and Oscar William is DP's fave but i really want our first boy to be named Ayrton after all thats what DP said we HAD to name our first boy that

I like Ayrton, my brother was a huge fan of Ayrton Senna and was devastated when he was killed (bro was about 8 or 9 at the time).

If you choose it be aware people might not know how to say it, my DD is called Cerys (which is a welsh name pronounced Ker-ris) and I thought was quite straightforward but what I didn't really appreciate is that in the UK people know it (lead singer from a band called Catatonia was called Cerys) people here in Oz have never heard of it, and alot of people seem to struggle with it even after have told them how to say it and say Cerise like the colour or assume am saying Paris, and I think might have thought twice about it if realised how often would have to repeat it.

Having a nickname like "Oscar the Grouch" would make me more likely to name my son that It's a cuuuuute nickname! Same goes for "Oz Kebab" lol

From the girl's names, I like Summer Lea (or, expand it to Leanne?)

I think Kailey's beautiful and I like both your boys names.

    BUT

Oh babe, that just makes me feel old. Ayrton Senna was the greatest Formula One driver....ever.

Kim- You sound like DP he idolises him. I bought him a picture of him for his birthday a couple of years ago and he almost cried he loves it. He was devastated when he died.

The name Kailey was one of the names we got when we did that silly baby name genie thing. It gave us Kailey Megan first go and we thought it was really nice. But since i had picked Summer for a girl his sister suggested that we have Kailey Summer.

I like Summer and Megan for girls from your list.

Both the boys' names are beautiful.

(And I like your surname too "Babb" is DD's nickname - short for Baby Kebab, when she was tiny and we used to wrap her )
