My dear nanna (maternal gmother) was Florence (known as Flo - and she HATED her first name) and grandma (paternal) Olive.
If you like "older" names, here's a few in my and DH's families: Ida, Katherine, Mary-Ellen, Eileen, Gwen, Leila, Maisie (Margaret), Evelyn, Vera, Molly, Violet (Vi) and Elizabeth.

ETA: There is an american website where you can search for the most popular names by decade going back to about 1890. Google search "top 1000 baby names". It is a USA govt website.

    Doris and Irmgard (German).

My Grandma whose name is Irmgard gets called Emmy. Doris was Dot when she was alive. (And our parents' names aren't any more 'usable' in our opinions either - Pamela and Narelle. We went with my name as middle name to get a family tradition of our own going).

I have a friend whose DD is called Anna. Her other DDs are Alexandra and Natasha.

I think DP's grandma had a sister called Clara, it's the only family name I pulled out that I liked from his side.

My Maternal Nanna is Thelma Merle(born 1920)
Paternal Grandma was Thelma Joyce (born around 1920 or 1930) i think.
My Mum is Lorraine Merle (born 1948)

    Also on DH's side
His Maternal Nan was Nellie Joyce(born around 1930-1940) I think but she was known as Joyce as she hated Nellie and I have to say we both LOVE Nellie but most likely won't ever use it
His Paternal Grandma was Audrey(not sure when she was born).

My Nan's sisters were Hilda, Eunice, Beryl, Joy and Joan.
