Question How would you pronounce Anneliese?

So I need some help... I think we have decided on Anneliese for a girl but I want to know how you would pronounce it.
I have always pronounced it ann-uh-lees but some people have said they would pronounce it ah-nuh-lees with the different sound on the first syllable.
I actually like both but if we are going to have an Anneliese, I want to know what the general consensus is on pronunciation...

    Thankyou!

I think English people and perhaps people from SA would say Ah instead of Ann. Same people that say Cah-stle instead of cas-tle.

The double 'N' makes me think it should be pronounced Anna not Ahna if that makes sense. If it was spelled Aana... or Ana... I would think it was an Ah sound.

    Gorgeous name either way though

    Thanks very much all!!
    - looks like most people would say the An sound rather than the ah.

I think it depends on where you're from. I'd pronounce it Ann but my grandmother would have said Ahn.

I have a friend whose name is Bianca, I've always pronounced it BiAnca but her family pronounce it BiUnca. Her mum always gets annoyed when peope don't pronounce her name properly but she doesn't mind.
