I'm not a huge fan of girasThey look great. I think maybe better for rucking rather than multi-layer carries - for me anyway. I just can't get the passes right unless it's thin and slippy. It's probably me, though
Yes, everyone needs more than one wrap. I was trying to stay in single digits, but.... oh well.
I'm now worried the wearing may be exacerbating DD's hypermobility in her hips. Trying to get some more info before seeing physio again next week. She's suggested reducing time in the 'sling' (aka beetlebums half-buckle that she saw me using). Have to see exactly what the issue is and and figure it out. Have to find a way to do it that's ok, because i *can't* carry her in my arms all the time.
What did you find out, MadB?
I thinkit's the flex of the hip outwards that's the issue. her knees are at 180 degree (or more) in the bb. Maybe it's just the SSCs, though, as it doesn't look like that in the wrap. I think I'll try and get her to take a look when I'm there and see if it looks better when wrapping.
My DD is sitting here with her teddy wrapped in a ruck - tied in a very classy bit of black satin![]()
MadB, would this be eased with some extra padding between her and your back to ease her bottom outwards?
Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure. The SSC body is quite structured, I have a feeling it would not be comfy like that. Might be something to keep in mind for an MT, though.
I took some 'bum shots' and her legs definitely are wider in the SCC compared to when I wrap her. In the double hammock carry her bum seems to stick out more and her knees are at a narrower angle. I will try and wrap for the physio on thursday and see what she reckons. I decided to sell the SSC anyway, since I'm not using it. If DH could get his head around it - he gets so confused with wraps - then I might have kept it for carrying DS. never mind. he can walk.
So how's everyone going? I feel like I've really hit my wrapping stride in the past few weeks. Wrapping in the carpark even for quick trips to the shops.Have to get in as much as possible - DD will be walking soon and it might all be over.

Yes, of course T![]()
Hope this works. This is DD2 at eight weeks in a back carry (prefer to use a shorter wrap now).
This is my Ellevil Paisley size 6.

And this is why she likes it so much - she can see everything! About 10 weeks here. In a Didy size 4. I can just double hammock in that size.
This is at the beach the other day, size 2 front carry tied under her bottom. My size 2 is getting lots of use because I can tie it quickly, it doesn't drag on the ground and it fits in my bag. I do three different carries - back ruck tied in front, front carry tied under bottom and rebozo hip carry (slip knot turns it into carry like a ring sling). Perfect for quick carries! And it's getting on to broken in, given it's linen and I bought it new.
Spamming done for now.![]()
woo hoo! Jen photo spam.
