Had a pretty wrap I'm borrowing admired today. And yes, I colour coordinated so we matched!

I'm using ruck back carry a bit more. Great for quick trips. I find myself mostly back carrying. I think it's also time I tried the no sew ring sling so I've washed and will iron my Oscha sz 2 for an attempt tomorrow.

I love my Oscha. It has taken some breaking in, but it is super supportive and versatile.

I mainly ruck as that's the carry I find easiest.. When I do a DH I can't seem to get the front snug enough.. It's always loose and annoying so I don't do it..

BAL, I find it really hard to get a good DH with some wraps. Something thin and slidey is better.

Not to mention a cooperative baby that stays nice and still while you get it right! Lol

I must get DP to take some video of her face while I'm wrapping her.

Alex is starting to co-operate a bit more now when wrapping. But we still mostly ruck as I'm impatient and want to get on my way sooner rather than later.

Oh and my husband is awesome. It was our second anniversary today and he got me a gorgeous Girasol Aurora

Happy anniversary CK. What an awesome pressie (and awesome hubby too ).

To get the chest pass tight in DH check out BabywearingFaith on you tube. She does the 'L-pull' which works really really well.

    I'll check that out, TC.

Your DH really wanted to make you happy, CK!

Here is my second effort at no sew RS. First I got hopelessly wrong!

Good job Jennifer! I'm too scared to try, I think I'll fail miserably.

    aww Jen what a cutie!
i just pulled my RS out for a quick pop to the supermarket and DD was asleep, she kept resting her head on the rings =( i kept moving her and them out of the way and readjusting but when she skirmed she kept banging them. any ideas on how to avoid this? can you get little pillow things to cover them?

T, what carry have you got her in with the rs? Tummy to tummy or cradle?

was tummy to tummy (i think... the one with her upright,)

im seriously thinking of getting a girasol loulabelle, but also want a HB (ideally i would get the g converted, but dont think that will happen tho..) how does it feel??

hm, maybe you need to have the rings higher on your shoulder before you put her in and adjust?

There's maddimoo in perth who's just started up doing conversions - not sure if she does HBs, though, but MTs. her work looks very good. her slots are filling up very fast, though. huge market potential for any sewers out there...

I had a beetlebums HB which i sold. extremely comfortable, though the buckle waist didn't quite fit me - bit big. i prefer a tie waist on a MT. I sold it because it was too structured for DD's hips - pushed her legs out too much.
There's really just too much choice - you could spend years trying to figure out the perfect carrier for you. I'm coming to the conclusion that maybe there isn't a perfect one...

Hmmm, I'd typically angle DS a teeny bit so his head would naturally fall to my other shoulder when he fell asleep and make sure the sling is nice and firm.

I love my Girasols - I have Northern Lights and Aurora, and they are so so so so comfy.

I like the idea on the HB about having padded waist, all the MT i have seen dont seem as padded...or are there ones that have a nice big padded waist??

Yea i tried getting her head to fall the other side, but she just kept flopping back... was the first time she had done it, so maybe was just in the wrong spot that time, as ive never heard of it being a problem for ppl.

I really think i'll get a girasol...no one has said anything bad about them yet!

    i didn't like mine. Had a shorty a while back. I don't think they're bad wraps, though.

yep, the waists vary. usually less padding, but some have some, some have none. it varies.
