    Question Best sling for Men

    Hi Everyone!
DS is 5 months and I wear him in a.... um.... actually I'm not sure what it is called but its a wrap that is about 5meters and its wraps around a few times and ties at the front
Anyway in a month we will be going to fiji DSwill be 6 months and he is a good size My hubby, dad and brother are all going but they refuse to use the wrap..... apart from them not understanding how to wrap it, my sling also has flowers on it so they all refuse to ware it. They have all said that if I get a carrier that is more "man friendly" they will carry DS when we are away! YAY!!! So I'd love any recomendations on man friendly easy (and comfortable - we will be hiking) slings!
    Thanks
    Jules

The Ergo for what you are describing but my DH will also use my black peanut shell (we fit the same size ) and my mei tai. Yes, I have all 3 - plus more He did wear DS in the HAB (wrap like you are describing) but I had to *tie him in*

yeah, if you have a Hug a Bub - my DF also is not a fan of that sling.

We just have a Baby Bjorn sling and he'll happily wear that!

I wrapped DP into the HAB we had with DS a few times then he learnt to do it himself. He didn't really like using the shoulder sling. He used the Ergo far more confidently when it was time to move onto the Ergo and could get him on the front way and the back way no problem in no time!
I've got a new wrap sling coming in the post (it's a close weave cotton) and he said he'd wear it - it was custom made and I showed him the fabric before it was cut and he stil said he'd wear it; it has green, brown and dusty pink horizontal stripes on a white background and it didn't bother him at all But he'll get more of a wearing chance when the next kidlet is a bit older and by then we may be using the Ergo.
