    ergo's

I have read all the good things, but is there anything that you don't like about them?

I have a close carrier for DS, but am thinking of getting myself an ergo for Xmas.. For DD to start with, then DS eventually. I am trying to save on taking the double pram everywhere ..

Ummm the only thing I don't like about my Ergo is that its the new sports one and the material is very thin compared to the old style and it sorta wraps around itself when I put it on, and gives me the irrits. The older style had stiffer straps and didn't do that.

But that is the ONLY thing i can think of.

The only thing that bothered me (I only borrowed one for a few weeks) was it's hard to get used to doing the shoulder clip up, but once you get it I had no issues at all.

I LOVE my ergo sport. So comfy. The only thing I don't like about it is that ATM the strap lines up with DD's mouth and she is forever sucking on it. I'm sure it's not that bad for her, except I worry that the friction as I walk might rub on her face and make her mouth or cheek sore. That said, I haven't seen any evidence of this yet.

I do love... that it's big enough for DH (and he thinks it's cooler than the Bjorn so he's happy to wear it); that unlike many other carriers, the weight is carried on the hips so my back is sooo much happier; that I can wear DD on my back and hip; shoulder-straps are super comfy; the sleeping hood persuades her that there's not really that much to stare at and to go to sleep!

I LOVE my ergo, I have the old style, but still struggle with the back carry, but I have no practice... Got pregnant before I could perfect it. And bump is well down in my pelvis, and I cant handle the strap around it... My other gripe is that I dont have the denim one... Otherwise it is perfect.

I have a close for the newborn, and think these two carriers are the perfect combination.

    DO IT!!!!

santosha.. you can buy the ergo sucking pads that fit over the straps for bubs to suck on. i also bought the little bum bag type thing that velcros onto the waist strap, it is great! dont have to take a nappy bag cause i put a nappy and small wipes in the zipper bit on front and then the bum bag thingy for wallet keys etc.

the only thing i dont like is that it can get a bit hot.
