Ergo for 3 and a half year old??

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using an Ergo for a toddler?
We're headed to Asia for a few weeks and I'm not sure if a pram is a practical option.
I saw on their website that the Ergo can carry up to 22kgs and my DD is about 17kgs so she should be okay but I'm not sure how comfortable it is.

Is it possible to wear a toddler for a few hours at a time without a huge amount of pain ?

    Thanks

ETA: She'll actually be 4 by the time we leave and probably a bit closer to the weight limit.

I have to double check the weights but can tell you IME DS is 14 kgs and I still wear him in the ergo. The back is the most comfortable and I can wear him for hours. The straps just seem to distribute the weight really well. It does take a bit of practice in putting them on and off but once you get the hang of it it is great.

Can you tell I love mine

    Thanks Kelebek!

I think I'll try one on and see how it goes for both of us and go from there. I guess it also depends on how much she grows in the next few months, knowing my luck she'll have a major growth spurt and will be over the weight limit

I carried DS most of last week in Melbourne on my back with no problem. He is 14kg. I have also carried my 18kg niece and it was just as easy. Back carry is fantastic as at that age they can hang onto your neck to get put in the sling. Much easier
