Ergo has recently been redesigned to include a longer waist strap. I love my ergo. Leah was always comfy in the Ergo, it felt just like a normal cuddle for her. I find it really easy to put on and with my dodgy skeleton it doesn't hurt me wearing it like most other slings and carriers do.

sorry to hijack, i cheaped out and bought a ring sling which i hate and am looking to upgrade. Just how cuddly can one be and still wear the ergo?

Im not sure Nee, being petite myself. There are a few threads around with references to differing levels of cuddliness.

You can be quite cuddly and use the ergo. I'm about a size 18 now after DD2 and it fits fine without the waist extension. DH uses the waist extension cos he's about 130-ish kg and 6 foot 7.

We found the Ergo Sport better for cuddly people than the standard one.

Otherwise, the Close Carrier is an awesome sling - we both wear that with little origami involved
