Question How much time do you get for you?

Just wondering how much time other mums get all to themselves each week? I mean, your own time to do whatever you like (not just when they're asleep and you don't know how long they'll stay down for). And what do you do with your time?

    TIA.

At the moment none. I have managed to get a couple of nights out, but there has always been the threat of the phone call saying come back home she wont stop crying.

Zero time for me. I was actually talking to DH last night about me doing yoga just one night a week.... having "me" time for just 1hr every week.... I think I really need it, especially now that DD is 9mths old now. It's time you know?

I go to Aquafit twice a week (for an hour) if DH is home in time to babysit. Other than that, I get none.

Um, nothing. Not out of the house to myself time. I get 10-15 minutes here and there to read or sew, but 90% of the time its interrupted to cuddle, throw a ball, or read a quick book to Jazz, and then I can get back to it LOL!

We did go to Pink in August, our first time away together since Jazz was born, and we had a whole 5-6 hours just Shel and I, and I'm still pretty stoked about that ROFL!

I am about to start part-time work, which I think will be great to have something away from the home. Not 'relax' time, but still time to myself, more than I've had for 15 months My parents are moving up here in January, so I'm hoping they'll want to do some grandparents duties once a fortnight maybe LOL!

I've done lots of things, but this really is all in the last year or so. Everything I do on my own is of an evening after the kids are in bed. That said it's not because DH can't or won't look after the kids, it's just that during the day on the weekend is family time.

    * played on an indoor soccer team
    * go for hot chocolate (or dessert!) after dinner with a friend
    * grocery shopping of an evening
    * cake decorating course, twice!
    * gone for dinner with some friends, need to do that again!
    * last Thursday night I went to the book shop, had a browse, bought some books & a hot chocolate for an hour BLISS!!
    * this Thursday I'm going to get my nails done & eyebrows & lashes tinted for my friends' wedding on Saturday.

Everywhere i go she goes, for lunch with friends, shopping... everywhere!

Hmm if i could get ME time more often i would LOVE to go get a PG massage, maybe get my nails done...
Might be getting 2hrs every 2nd Wednesday without her but thats so i can come home n mop... lol

Ohhhhh to have me time again... lol but wouldn't change her for the world.

Do I get to count the evenings once the girls are in bed? Thats about it generally.
Df and I rarely go out together, every so often I will go out with friends kid free.

I've started back at yoga in the last couple of weeks on a sunday morning - it's literally across the road so no travel time just 1 hour & 15 mins completely to myself. Though I do start missing DD during meditation at the end - my mind wanders and I can't wait to see her again!
I also had a pedicure last week and it was bliss! DP sat in a cafe with DD just down the road looking quite the groovy Northcote dad!

I do get a break once a week but I am doing work so that doesn't count!

Apart from that I go to the gym twice a week for an hour and the girls go to creche. I also go to Book Club once every 2 months and DP looks after the girls. I might go out for dinner with friends once every 4-6 months as well.

So not often - i do love my hour twice a week at the gym though. It has even made me enjoy running as it is something I am doing by myself!

None here either.... I am begining to feel a little run down for it too. DF works 7 days a week and constantly reminds me that Bella is my job ... I am thinking of looking for a gym with childcare just so I can have a bit of moi time.

Not much here either at the moment and it is starting to get to the point where I need a few hours on my own. I have a couple of gift vouchers for massages etc that I was given that I have had to extend as I just cant get there!

I dont have any family around here, and DP is working 6 days a week and generally between 12-14 hrs a day : (

The only time I have that is DD free is when I am at work and looking after 20 other children so not really down time.

Couldnt go to the movies with my MG friends last night as DP works evenings as well so no one to mind DD. and would really like to play indoor netball on a weeknight but cant because of the same reason as above.

    Me????? Who is that????

I have been replaced with a cleaning, driving, babysitting milk machine!!!

Na, seriously, with 6 kidlets, 3 under 4, and pregnant, I dont leave the house!! If I could I dont even know where I would go!!!

If the kids are all occupied, I love to read.... but I hate having to put it down after a few pages..

So pretty much none. But to be honest, I'm happy with that at the moment.

Although I can feel that changing soon... I feel i need "something" else, but I'm not sure what???
