1st night in Big Girl Bed!

Woohoooo Miss B had her 1st night in the big girl bed and both her and mummy slept well!!!
I wasn't too sure if she was ready - but DH thought she was, so i let him make this call all on his own, and yesterday we changed her cot into the big girl bed!
and she was still sound asleep in it when i left for work this morning!
    Fingers crossed this continues!

Girls are just so cute though aren't they?

I hope they can sustain the sleeping in the big girls bed!!

I'm just scared that she will wake up in the middle of the night and go into the lounge and switch on the tv and watch Hi-5 or something!

She has a free standing fan in her room as its pretty hot and Im worried she will wake up and get out and stick her fingers in the fan or something...

MummaMia, when Zander went into a big bed (21 months) he didn't get ut & took him a good 3-4 months to realise he actually could. It was funny he'd call out "can I get up now?" when he was awake in the mornings!! Juliette on the other hand will be up & down a million times I can guarantee it Some kids will stay in & others will take a while to learn

First off i love all these new AVY'S!!!!!! hmmm wondering if i can update mine???

sunshine - i think thats cute how DD will turn her own fan on than go back to bed!

beckoes - has the matress arrived yet? i can't say having Miss B in a bed has changed her sleep at all -its all the same! she pretty much sleeps thru - however she has started having naps again! Can't wait to hear how ur DD goes

MM - nope i don't think Miss B has realised she can get out yet! we found her on the floor one afternoon playing but not sure if she fell - she didnt cry or anything or actually got out but she hasnt done it again since!

cherished1 - hahaha nope definatly not time for #2 yet!

sarah - My DD is one of those ones who hasn't realised she can get out yet ( i think) and i hope it stays that way for a looong time! hehehe

So our matress arrived a few days ago, DD had been do looking forward to it as we had the base set up for weeks (realised we needed a special size matress and had to order one but already had the base up so left it) her teddies had been using it anyway!
The day we set it up she was a bit cranky but she slept in it ok, then the next day we found out she had tonsillitis but she insisted on staying in the big bed. Her sleeps have been a total dissaster...but im sure thats just becasue she has been sick. Infact today is the first day she has slept for longer than 40 mins in one go.....so i guess she is liking her big bed.
How are the other LOs settling in with thier new big beds???

Yay!!! thats great to hear! woohooo for DD!!! i really hope she continues loving it!

All has been going well here in the big bed! we have had 2 little incidents tho!

    1. we tried putting her down for a nap before she was ready so for the 1st time she got off her bed and turned her room upside down! Everything out of her cupboards, drawers, change table, folded nappies no longer folded! it was a mess! but funny!

    2. and last night - not sure if she fell out but i found her on the floor crying in the middle of the night - gave her cuddle but all she wanted was to get back into bed and go back to sleep! no bumps or bruises! we still have a foam mattress on the floor just incase! thankgoodness!

Other wise all has been great!
