    Burping...

This is going to sound like a silly question...but

When do you/did you stop burping your baby?

with jack if we didn't let him finish his whole bottle in one go he wouldn't drink it all so we cut out mid burping at around 2 weeks then after burping around 4 weeks we would sit him up etc and he would let out a massive burp (think barney from simpsons)

I can't really remember a specific age but I remember Mackenzie would self burb just by lifting her up from a very young age so I would always stop half way thru her bottle and just give her a little lift so she would burb. If I stretched my memory I would say it was closer to 9 months before I stopped worrying too much about her burbing.

i only just stopped rubbing his back after a bottle at about 12 months! It was just habit, but it did seem to help him bring it up.

I have never burped Lucy. Changing positions while I was feeding her or just picking her up seemed to get her to do it herself. Plus, she'd often fall asleep while feeding (especially when tiny) and there was no point waking her to burp. It never seemed to bother her.

Having said that, letting off wind did cause her some distress when she was tiny, but she managed to figure it out after a couple of painful attempts!
