ABC....anyone else kids just not interested?

I'm sitting here on BB drinking my coffee, as Charlie is in the next room watching a Thomas DVD. Each morning when he wakes its the first thing he asks for, I take him to the lounge & put on ABC. I sit with him to try & get him into whats on but he is just not into it!!!! Nothing seems to grab his attention but Playschool!!!!

Just wondering, anyone else have no luck with ABC? Though I think he'd be more interested in ABC 2, they seem to have the better shows.

I didn't let my kids watch tv until my eldest was 3 and a friend bought him a Wiggles video for his birthday much to my disgust. When I first started to let them watch it they just weren't interested. TV becomes a habit i think, as they become more used to watching it they want to watch more and more.

My kids all loved ABC in the mornings. They still to this day watch it.

It's good that he isn't interested in it though, leaves more time for imaginative play.

Olivia will watch bits of Seasame Street (like she is now), mainly the parts with music. She LOVES Playschool though. I really only put it on for her when these two shows and Night Garden are on, although she seems to have lost interest in Night Garden.

Bri's only just recently becoming interested. Both the girls liked Play school, & Bri loves ITNG, but til recently she'd rather watch her fave movie. Neither were ever interested in Sesame Street. Though Bri is watching it now.

its only the last few months Jack has shown any interest to anything ....

unfortunalty he was obsessed with simpsons (our fault I know) so I started putting on ABC he willl watch it on and off then I turn over to ABC 2 and he will watch it...I think he likes it cause its all those little 10-15min shows ..

but yeah he was 30 mths before he would sit and watch

We dont watch too much TV, but if we do the only thing Claire is interested in watched in Hi 5. If I switch on TV and there is something boring on she will tell me "my Hi 5 please!" We dont really watch ABC.. except occassionlly we might watch Playschool. I cant handle Night Garden so we absolutely NEVER watch it.
