    advice?

dd is 8 months now and i have already started her on solids and have just recently started her on chicken. Have been feeding her 3 times a day, 1 hour after her bottle which is 240ml usually she doesnt finish it anyway-she leaves about 100m left.am i feeding her too much ? though i only give her about 1 tablespoon...Also when do we do it the other way round like food first then bottle? Also i find sometimes after her bottle she falls asleep for a couple of hours and then its too late to give her dinner as its already too close to her bottle time, so i dont give her anything is it okay?

Bubbles, there isn't one right answer to your questions. All babies are different. In general, the milk is still the most important food at that age, and usually you would give milk first until nearly 12 months. The amount of solids that your DD is having is probably fine and you would probably expect that to increase over the next month or two, and then you could perhaps look at offering some food before bottle - maybe at one or two of the feeds but not all to start with.

Your DD probably is at the stage where some more variety of foods would be good to meet a broad range of nutritional requirements. If you haven't introduced red meat yet, it might be an idea to do that now - even if it's sucking on steak or chewing on bones. Meat is high in both iron and zinc and these are both very important for brain development.

Best of luck with it hun. It sounds to me like you are doing all the right things, so I'm sure you will be fine.
