If your bub reaches a milestone at an in-between age do you round up or round down when people ask? My DS did something for the first time at 8 months and 18 days and I am not sure when people ask if I should say 8.5 months or if I should round up to 9 months.

Artechim, I don't think it matters too much, just what ever you are comfortable with. I guess i would say 8 and half months, or maybe even 8 months as he is in his 8th month IYKWIM! Or 9 months if you like!

If it were me, I'd say 8 1/2 months.

Thanks, I wouldn't usually care but if I say he was walking at 8.5months no one believes me (even the IL's didn't until they saw him). If I say 9 months they seem to accept it better.

Pft to them if they dont believe you! My niece walked at 8 months. I don't think you should say 9 months for other peoples sake, i think 8 1/2 is perfectly reasonable. After all it is the truth

Yeah pfffft to them! My sister was walking at 6 months! My Mum used to get in trouble for letting her walk! Who can stop a child from walking when they decide it's time? Crazy. I think it is funny to see pics of my sister walking at 6 months because it looks so funny because she is so tiny.
