Anchor bolts on car for toddler

    Hi

I am expecting baby #2 and in my car (astra equipe) i have only one anchor bolt. Can you use two seats on one anchor or will i have to have a new bolt somehow installed. I was not sure if there was some sort of attchments out there?? Any help would be appreciated...

    Thanks

You will have to get another one installed I am pretty sure. You can call your local car seat fitting station - or somewhere like the NRMA, RACV (what ever it is in your state). They will be able to tell you where to go.

Yeah I dont think you can just hook 2 car seats up to 1 anchor point, you better get it checked..

Nope, dont hook the two into 1 anchor point.....we have a ford falcon and it only had 1 anchor point...we got another installed by an approved RTA guy (NSW).
    Cost around $40 i think.
Suprisingly, my dad has a new commodore and it only has 1 anchor point....dont car manufacturers realise 1 x anchor point is prob not enough these days !!!!

Sheba, I just got rid of my astra, but the first bolt we had professionally fitted, but the man showed DH how to do it and we fitted the second one on the other side ourselves. In the baby bolt kit it has all the instructions....

isn't it funny - the family-ish type cars only have one anchor point - i have a four wheel drive Hyundai and it has three fitted as standard! i'm surprised that at least two istn' a standard fitting considering the average family has at least two kidlets!

Thanks everyone, will do that... I will ring my local Honden dealer and see if they install them or NRMA.
