with a poo in their nappy?

I have always changed DD withing a couple of minutes of doing a poo (unless we are in the car or in a shop) as it smells! She also gets a rash.

Now that she is headng towards 2 (she's 19 months) I was wondering if I should start leaving her a little longer just so she gets used to the yucky sensation. If I leave her will she start choosing to have her nappy changed? At the moment she couldn't care less that she has done poo!

I have no intention of toilet training her until she is ready whether that is this summer or when she is closer to 3 but I would like to help her start recognising when she has done something.
