    Bathtime...water in ears???

Ive just started using one of those plastic insert seats in DS's baby bath because he was getting so big and wriggly I was scared of dropping him in the bath.
Anyway, because of the angle of the seat, DS either has water covering his ears or water barely covering any of him!! Is the water bad for ears or should I somehow prop the seat up more so he is sitting more upright in the bath???

Water in the ears shouldn't be a problem - bath water is fairly clean, and as long as his eardrum is intact (and believe me, you'd know if it wasn't!) it can't do any more than get into the outer ear canal.

The other option is to lie him flat in the bath instead of in the seat or half reclined on your arm. More of the body is covered in water than in the seat but the ears will still get wet. If they lie flat you can't drop the slippery little cherubs either
