    Birthday party food

Hi, Cooper has his 2nd birthday on Sunday and I have been away for a funeral sadly, have run out of time, and trying to think of some good, easy, food ideas for his birthday, not just the normal chips, lollies etc. As I said, I am limited with time, and haven't even been able to plan anything (games also), so I am hoping some people may be able to give their thoughts on what I can do for the day.

    Thanks!

For games, sandwiches go down really well. For DS first birthday we had some of thse plus quite a bit of cakes etc. The sandwiches went soooo quickly and we were eating cake for days. lol. Otherwise you could make your own little pastries/samosa etc, iced arrowroot bikkies with faces, vege sticks with some dip, fairy bread...

For games pass the parcel and statues are easy but fun.
    HTH!

The thing i do that kids just love is. get the already pre rolled pastry ( puff pastry sheets) then smother them with marmite ( or vegimite for you the ozzies lol) and sprinkle grated cheese all over the marmite, roll them up cut them into slices and lay them flat on a tray, then bake in the oven untill they are golden brown ( about 15 min i think but i dont really time them). hope the party is fantastic!!!

I did a small fruit platter which was quite popular, and helped balance out the fairy bread .

Sandwhices, home made sausage rolls, maybe some sort of filo triangles. for savoury.

Fast sweet things, anything refrigerated you can make today or tomorrow.
    Rocky Road, peppermint slice,
    Jelly and fruit.

ooo what about my nanna used to make these pizza triangles using bread. you can put whatever you want on them make them as healty or unhealthy as you like.
