Bit Embarrassing - I'M Now Sleeping With Teddy

DD hasn't slept in our bed for about a year and I STILL miss her.

I bit the bullet the other night and thought "bugger it, if she won't sleep with me, I'll cuddle her teddy."

And now I can't go to sleep without the teddy.

What stupid things have you done since giving up co-sleeping?

I think that's gorgeous and there's nothing wrong with a girl sleeping with her teddy! My ds is 3 1/2 and I still sleep with the teddy that my dh bought me when we found out we were pg!

It took a bit of explaining to the nurses at hospital recently though that it wasn't my ds's teddy, it was mine, yes I sleep with it and have done for 4 years!!!!

I love 'Ted', he's my security blanket, I did have to go buy my ds a similar one when he was about 18mts coz he wanted mine!! No way!!!! He's MY TED!!!!!

Aw, I sleep with a teddy as well! He is a lavendar scented little bear and we call him Lav.

We just went overseas and it was really, really hard for me to leave Lav at home! I was so happy when I got back into my own bed and saw him! It was like when Peter sees his blankie!

I still sleep with a teddy, when I was with my xh I used to hide it under the edge of the bed - now I have it in bed with me every night - even the DPs are getting used to it

Since giving up co-sleeping aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagess ago I do one crazy thing that drives my DH barmy.

Whenever he moves in the bed I grab him so he can't move or fall out of the bed. Every single time!!! I've been doing it for about 2 years now. I sort of stopped there for a while, but I seem to have started again. I'm not sure if I think he's the baby or whether I'm trying to stop him rolling on the baby. I'm completely asleep at the time, but somehow still aware. Odd.

Your poor DH! I did similar when my girls were little. I'd feel him move next to me & wake up pushing him saying 'get off her' only to find DD sleeping safely in her cot

    Thats sooo Sweet!

When i was a kid i was never into Teddys or security blankets of any kind. But when i was 20 i had some surgery done and was in hossy for some months - a friend bought me a teddy and now i cant sleep without it! 5 years later - i panic if i cant find "bucks" at bed time!
